Butter Kulcha


2-cups all-purpose flour

1-tsp ghee


1/4 tsp. baking powder

1/2 tbsp. lemon juice

1-tsp. yeast (dry)

1-tsp. Sugar


Mix fresh yeast and sugar in a 3/4 cup warm water. Keep aside for 10 minutes. Mix lemon juice.

Shift the flour. Add salt, baking powder and ghee. Knead the dough with fresh yeast water. Add water if necessary to knead the dough. Cover with wet cloth and leave it for 2-3 hours.

Make 12 equal balls from the dough. Roll each ball like a pancake. Heat the griddle. Roast on the griddle on slow heat. Add butter on the griddle. Serve warm.
