Vegetable Cones

INGREDIENTS:

    • 2 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1/4-cup cream of wheat
    • Oil for frying
    • Salt
    • Shift all-purpose flour. Mix flour and cream of wheat. add salt and ghee , mix. Knead the dough to puri consistency with water. Keep aside for 1/2 hour
    • Knead dough again and divide into equal portion. Take 1 portion and roll into roti. Cut into 1/2.shape each 1/2 into a cone with help of metal cone (mould). Fry the cone in oil. Remove the mould. Fry all the cones and keep in a steel container

FOR FILLING:

    • 1/2 lbs green peas
    • 1-cup cilantro leaves
    • Salt
    • 1 tbsp. Lemon juice
    • 2 tbsp. Sugar
    • Boil peas in a pressure cooker. Mash peas. Mix grated, cilantro leaves, grated coconut, lemon juice, sugar and salt. Mix well. Make into long rolls to be filled in the cone

For the covering:

    • 1/2-cup fine flour
    • Salt
    • 1 tbsp. Chili powder
    • Mix all-purpose flour
    • chili powder and salt
    • Make a paste with water

PREPARATION:

Take a cone and fill 3/4 part with vegetable filling. Apply the flour paste. Prepare all the cones. Fry in oil and serve warm with sauce.
