KHANDVI


INGREDIENTS:

1-cup grams dal flour      3 cups butter-milk (watery)

Salt      -tsp. turmeric powder

2-tsp.-green chili paste      2-tsp. Mustard seeds

-cup cilantro leaves      Asafetida

Oil            -cup grated fresh coconut

 

PREPARATION:

Shift grams dal flour. Mix - green chili paste with butter- milk and shift through fine shift. Mix 1-cup of flour with 3 cup of butter - milk. Make into thin batter. Boil the batter in a pressure cooker for 1 whistle.

When the cooker cools. mix the boiled batter with tsp.. Spread on plastic. Cut and make roll of khandvi.

Heat oil in a frying pan. Add mustard seeds, asafetida. Pour on the khandvi. Sprinkle grated coconut and cilantro leaves.
