SWEET PUDALA


INGREDIENTS:

1-cup wheat flour

cup sugar

1-tsp. poppy seeds

3-4 cardamom powder

Ghee

100 grams brown sugar 


PREPARATION:

In a vessel, take about cup water and dissolve sugar and brown sugar. Stir until they dissolve.

Shift the wheat flour. Mix poppy seeds and cardamom powder. Mix the flour in the sugar-liquid slowly and with continuous stirring.

Add more water if needed to make the batter. Heat a griddle. Spread the pudala (like thin pancake) on the griddle. Spread ghee on the sides. Turn the pudala on the other side. Fry until brown on both sides. Serve warm.
