Shri
Falhodi Badagaon Tirth
Mulnayak:
Nearly 50 cms high, brown-colored idol of Bhagawan Adinath Chaubisi on
one stone in the Khadgasana posture.
Tirth:
It is on the series of Koti Parvat hill in the Falhodi
Badagaon near Dhasan river, so also known as Falhodi
Badagaon(Dhasan).
Historicity:
These ancient temples of Chandelas era were came into picture recently
and were renovated as necessary. This is the place of Nirvana of 3 and
half Carore Muni (Jain Saints) as Marathi writer Bhattarak Gunkerti
write in Tirth Vandana " Falhodi Badagaon Ahoot Koti
Siddhasi Namaskar Mangha". There is a wonderful Siddha Gufa
(Cave) on the hill just beside the temple. Slowly very difficult
historical facts about Falhodi Badagaon Siddh Kshetra are coming in
light by research. Many miracles happen here time to time. Here is a
mysterious non-violence tank behind the hill, which is called 'Jainerd
Talab'. This is the place where hunting and fishing are not possible.
Here is a Shiv temple of the age of Chandelas (Similar to the temples
in Khajuraho) which proves that all the Jain temples also belongs to
Chandela's era. Thousands of faithful and devoted pilgrims come here
to have their wishes full filled.
Other
Temples:
There are three temples on the hill with five Vedis. There are a very
old Siddh Gufa (Cave) and a beautiful Manistam just behind the
temples.
Works
of art and Sculpture:The
scene of the temples situated on the hill between the centre of town
is really fascinating. There is a beautiful museum of idols of Jain
Tirthankar found from the nearby places, all of them are around 500 to
600 years old. All these idols were broken during the Mugal period.
Some of these idols are very beautiful and can be used to access the
art of past.
