Student of Jainism from US gives up meals after sunset.

AHMEDABAD: Gaela Dennison-Leonard is a star student at Hamilton College, New York. She decided to learn about Jainism in the city. She has now adopted the practices of the religion and also intends to undertake the traditional fast during Samvatsari.According to the Hamilton College website, Gaela is a Thomas J. Watson Fellow for 2016-17 and has received US $30,000 for her project, ‘Robes for the Modern Woman: Monastic Women and Community Strength’. Besides India, she will be visiting Malaysia, Thailand and Australia to do research for her project.
